The Fergus Falls Area Special Education Cooperative hosts two Day Treatment progams. One program is designed for students age pre-school through fourth grade and one program is designed for students in grades five through eight. Both programs are located in Fergus Falls.
The Day Treatment Program is a collaborative program between Otter Tail County, the Fergus Falls Area Special Education Cooperative (ISD#935) and Lakeland Mental Health. Students meeting criteria for this program have their educational and mental health needs met initially in a self-contained setting with the goal of educational mainstream experiences and graduation from the program. Student length of placement in the program depends on a student's individual needs. Staff include teachers, paraprofessionals, social workers, psychologist, and mental health providers. Applications are screened on the third Wednesday of the month and applications should be to Sandy the Monday before the screening meeting.
